A 6-inch K-style gutter handles about 2 gallons per foot, and when you pair it with oversized 3×4 or 4×5 downspouts, the whole system moves roughly twice the water of a typical residential setup. The machine rides on the truck, the coil goes in one end, and a single seamless gutter comes out the other, whether your roofline runs 40 feet or 140. As a rule of thumb, once a single roof plane drains more than about 2,000 square feet, or your current 5-inch gutters overflow in an ordinary storm, 6-inch is the right call.
